We sent the same original lyrics and style to the highest version of seven AI music engines available on RaoMusic: Suno v6, Mureka 9.5, Google Lyria 3.5, MiniMax Music 3.0, ACE-Step 1.5, YuE 2 and ElevenLabs v2.5. The right one depends on the job: Suno v6 gives two takes per request, ACE-Step 1.5 a free lossless file and a length setting, and ElevenLabs v2.5 songs up to 10 minutes. All eight results are below to compare by ear.

Which AI music model should you pick on RaoMusic?
Pick by what you need from the finished song. Each reason below is a feature as it works on RaoMusic or a result from our one test, not a quality score, so listen to the takes further down before you decide.
| If you want… | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Two takes to choose from | Suno v6 | Two songs for 30 credits; every other engine returns one |
| To redo one section later | Suno v6 | Replace section works only on Suno songs |
| A set length | ACE-Step 1.5 or ElevenLabs v2.5 | Both have a length setting, and both matched the 120 seconds we asked for in this test |
| Long songs | ElevenLabs v2.5 or ACE-Step 1.5 | Length settings up to 600 seconds (Suno v6 stops at 360) |
| A lossless file | ACE-Step 1.5 | A free FLAC with every song (Lyria members also get WAV at no extra credits) |
| A BPM setting | Google Lyria 3.5 or ACE-Step 1.5 | The only two engines here with one |
| Lyric timing for captions | Mureka 9.5 | Songs come with word-level lyric alignment |
| Lyrics written for you | MiniMax 3.0 | Simple mode writes a song from a one-line idea |
| To hear it while it generates | ElevenLabs v2.5 | Songs start playing while they generate |
| No subscription | Lyria 3.5, MiniMax 3.0, ACE-Step 1.5 or YuE 2 | Their top versions are open to everyone |
How did we test the seven engines?
On October 25, 2026 we sent one request to the highest version of each engine available on RaoMusic. Every request used Custom mode, the same original 16-line lyrics with the title "Porch Light", and the same style line: warm acoustic pop, female vocals, fingerpicked guitar, soft piano, 96 BPM. That made seven requests, eight songs and 260 credits. One request per engine shows what each engine returned this time, not an average. We tested one genre, acoustic pop. We did not score sound quality or lyric accuracy, and we did not time the generations.
| Engine (version) | Settings beyond lyrics and style |
|---|---|
| Suno v6 | Female vocal; length left on automatic |
| Mureka 9.5 | None (no length or BPM setting) |
| Google Lyria 3.5 | BPM 96; length 120 s (a guide only) |
| MiniMax Music 3.0 | None (no length or BPM setting) |
| ACE-Step 1.5 | BPM 96; length 120 s; Thinking on |
| YuE 2 | Prompt adherence 1.0 (the default) |
| ElevenLabs v2.5 | Length 120 s |
RaoMusic sells access to all seven engines, so treat this as a hands-on record rather than an independent benchmark. These are the lyrics every engine received:
[Verse 1]
Gravel on the driveway, engine ticking slow
Twelve hours on the highway with the windows rolled down low
Every song on the radio was one we used to know
And every one of them was you
[Chorus]
Leave the porch light on, leave the porch light on
I can see it shining from the end of the road
Leave the porch light on, I won't be long
Keep a little warm for me, I'm coming home
[Verse 2]
Your coat is on the hook and there's a note beside the door
Says the kettle's on the stove like a hundred times before
I don't need a lot of things, I don't need anything more
Than the yellow glow that's you
The chorus repeats once more at the end, for 16 sung lines in total.
What did each engine make from the same lyrics?
Listen and compare. Each player is the file the engine returned, and each heading gives the credits it cost and the length of what came back.
Suno v6: 30 credits, two songs (2:01 and 2:00)
Suno returns two songs per request on RaoMusic, so you can keep the better take. The Suno Help Center calls v6 "the core model" of its three v6 variants. On RaoMusic it needs a subscription, and its length setting runs from 10 to 360 seconds; we left it on automatic. Suno also rewrote our short style line into a longer description on its side, a different one for each take. Replace section, which redoes one part of a song, works only on Suno songs.
Mureka 9.5: 40 credits, one song (2:52)
Mureka 9.5 needs a subscription on RaoMusic and returns one song per request. With no length setting, it made the longest file in this test from our 16 lines. Mureka's What's New page announced V9.5 on August 13, 2026. Songs come with word-level lyric alignment. On RaoMusic, Mureka's Simple mode makes instrumentals only, so use Custom mode for your own lyrics.
Google Lyria 3.5: 20 credits, one song (2:03)
We set BPM to 96 and length to 120 seconds, and the file came back at 123 seconds; RaoMusic labels Lyria's length setting "a guide only". Every Lyria song includes a free M4A, and members can download the WAV with no extra credits. No subscription is needed.
MiniMax Music 3.0: 40 credits, one song (2:41)
MiniMax has no length or BPM setting, and downloads are MP3 only. In Simple mode it writes the lyrics for you from a one-line idea. No subscription is needed.
ACE-Step 1.5: 20 credits, one song (2:00)
ACE-Step charges by length: 120 seconds with Thinking on cost 20 credits, and the file is exactly 120 seconds. It saves a lossless FLAC next to the MP3 at no extra cost; the FLAC of the same song is 11.1 MB. Its length setting goes up to 600 seconds, and no subscription is needed.
YuE 2: 30 credits, one song (1:54)
YuE 2 runs in Custom mode only on RaoMusic, with lyrics and style both required. Its Prompt adherence setting runs from 0 to 20, and we left it at the default 1.0. At 1:54 it returned the shortest file in this test. No subscription is needed.
ElevenLabs v2.5: 80 credits, one song (2:00)
ElevenLabs costs 40 credits per minute, so the 120-second song cost 80 credits, the most in this test, and it matched the length we asked for. v2.5 needs a subscription and goes up to 600 seconds; v2 is open to everyone at the same price per minute, up to 300 seconds. On RaoMusic, ElevenLabs songs start playing while they generate. Our ElevenLabs vs Suno post compares it with Suno in more detail.

How do the seven engines compare on credits, length and files?
Credits per minute divides the credits we paid by the total length of the audio that came back. It measures cost per minute of file, not quality, and it leaves out subscription fees and paid downloads. Suno's figure counts both takes; if you keep only one, it works out to about 15 credits per minute of the song you keep.
| Engine (version) | Subscription | Credits | Length returned | Credits per minute | Length setting | Lyrics limit (characters) | Files |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Suno v6 | Yes | 30 | 2:01 + 2:00 | 7.5 | 10–360 s | 5,000 | MP3; WAV for 4 credits |
| Mureka 9.5 | Yes | 40 | 2:52 | 14.0 | None | 3,000 | MP3; WAV for 4 credits |
| Google Lyria 3.5 | No | 20 | 2:03 | 9.8 | 30–240 s (guide) | 3,000 | M4A; WAV for members |
| MiniMax 3.0 | No | 40 | 2:41 | 14.9 | None | 3,000 | MP3 |
| ACE-Step 1.5 | No | 20 | 2:00 | 10.0 | 10–600 s | 4,096 | MP3 + FLAC |
| YuE 2 | No | 30 | 1:54 | 15.8 | None | 3,000 | MP3 |
| ElevenLabs v2.5 | Yes | 80 | 2:00 | 40.0 | 10–600 s | 4,000 | MP3 |
Credits, limits and file options are RaoMusic's settings on October 25, 2026; lengths are the files we got back. WAV downloads need a subscription. Lyrics under 3,000 characters fit every engine.
Which versions work without a subscription?
Three of the engines above also have a version that is open to everyone on RaoMusic. We did not include them in this test.
| Version | Credits on RaoMusic | Compared with the top version |
|---|---|---|
| Suno v6 Mini | 20 per request, two songs | The v6 variant Suno offers on all its plans |
| Suno v6 Wild | 30 per request, two songs | Suno says it goes "further from the prompt" |
| Mureka 9 | 20 per request, one song | The version before Mureka 9.5 |
| ElevenLabs v2 | 40 per minute | Length up to 300 seconds instead of 600 |
Without a subscription you pay in credits for each request, and ElevenLabs and ACE-Step price by length: eligible accounts get 50 free credits every month (they aren't offered in some regions), and one-time packs include $10 for 800 credits. Current prices are on the pricing page.
How do I run the same comparison on my own lyrics?
Open Create and switch to Custom mode.
Paste your lyrics with section tags such as [Verse] and [Chorus]. Keep them under 3,000 characters so every engine accepts them.
Write one style line (genre, vocal, instruments, tempo) and reuse it word for word on every engine.
Pick an engine from the menu at the top of the form and generate. The button shows the credit cost before you click.
Switch engines and generate again without touching the lyrics or style. Each song is labeled with its engine in your library.
The AI music models page plays one prompt on every engine. Use lyrics you wrote or have permission to use; the commercial license page has the full terms for the songs you generate.
