Save the style once. Reuse it on new songs.
Use Create Persona when a completed Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5 generated song has the vocal and style identity you want to keep. It stores a reusable template. It does not clone a real voice from a recording.
A persona saves one song's style so new tracks can reuse it.
Create Persona is a Pro action. Saving the persona is free. Open a completed Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5 song — not an upload — choose Create Persona, and fill Name and Description. Later, in Custom mode, open Persona, pick it, and Generate a new song at the normal model price. The persona stays selected so you can make a run of related tracks.
KEEP — the saved style and vocal character
The persona is a reusable template taken from one finished song.
CHANGE — new lyrics, new songs
Each Generate is a new track. Creating the persona does not make a song by itself.
Create and use a persona in six moves
Saving is one flow. Using it on a new song is a second flow in Custom mode.
- 1
Start from a finished Rao v1.0 or v1.5 song
Uploads cannot create a persona. Other models show This song's model doesn't support Persona. The track must be completed.
- 2
Open ⋯ and choose Create Persona
This is a Pro action. Without a subscription, RaoMusic opens the upgrade modal. If this song already has a persona, you get Edit Persona instead of a second copy.
- 3
Fill Name and Description, then Create
Name is required and starts as the source title. Styles are optional and start from the source style. Description is required — describe mood, instruments, and vocal character. Click Create to save the persona for free. This does not generate audio.
- 4
Switch to Custom and choose Rao v1.0 or v1.5
The Persona button lives on the Custom form. Simple mode cannot apply a persona. Rao v1.0 and Rao v1.5 are the models that accept one.
- 5
Open Persona and pick it
The library has My personas and Favorites. You can also click Create New Persona and Choose a song. If the persona has its own styles, RaoMusic asks whether to replace your current Styles.
- 6
Write new lyrics and click Generate
Generate uses the same credits as a new song on the selected model. The persona stays selected after the run, so the next song can keep the same identity.
Which song should become the persona
Pick the take you would actually want to sound like again — not the first song in the list.
Start from
- A completed Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5 song whose vocal and style already feel like the project.
- One clear identity: a singer, a band feel, a mood you want to repeat.
- A name you will recognize later, not the default title if that title is generic.
- A description that mentions vocal character, not only genre.
Skip
- Uploads — Create Persona is hidden on them.
- A song on a model other than Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5.
- A take you already dislike. The persona will carry that identity forward.
- Expecting a microphone recording of your own voice. That flow is not in the product.
How to use a persona on a new song
Saving is free. The song still has to be written and generated.
Do
- Stay in Custom mode on Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5.
- Write new lyrics for the new song. The persona is the identity, not the lyric sheet.
- Let the persona fill Styles when asked, unless you already have a style you need to keep.
- Leave the persona selected while you make the next tracks in the same project.
Avoid
- Looking for Persona in Simple mode.
- Expecting Create Persona to output audio by itself.
- Stacking a heavy new style prompt that fights the saved identity.
- Using Persona as a stand-in for the AI Cover Song Generator's named voice models.
Easy to get wrong
Using a persona is not free. Generate costs the same as a normal song on Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5.
Uploads cannot create a persona. The source needs a generated Rao v1.0 or v1.5 song.
This is not a voice clone. RaoMusic does not record you reading a phrase to copy your real voice. Voice persona is not available.
Simple mode cannot apply a persona. Switch to Custom, then pick Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5.
Create Persona does not generate a song. It only saves the template. You still write lyrics and click Generate.
The same source song will not make a second persona. You get Edit Persona instead.
Cover, Mashup, and ordinary Generate can carry a selected persona. Add Vocals, Add Instrumental, and Replace Section do not show the selected-persona bar.
Persona vs Cover
A persona is a reusable identity. Cover is a one-off remake of one song.

Persona FAQ
No. Create is free. You still need a subscription. Generating a new song with that persona uses the same credits as a normal song on the selected model.
Yes. The menu shows a Pro badge, opening it without a subscription shows the upgrade modal, and the server rejects the create request without access.
Completed Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5 songs that you generated — not uploads, and not other models.
No. A persona stores style and vocal character from a completed Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5 generated song. It does not clone a real voice, and there is no voice-persona recording flow.
Applying a persona only works in Custom mode on those two versions. Switch mode and model, then open Persona again.
No. The second time opens Edit Persona. Delete the existing one if you want to start over from that source.
Yes. It is left in place so you can make a series of related songs without picking it again. Clear it from the selected-persona card when you want a different identity.
Yes, in Custom mode with Rao v1.0 or Rao v1.5. Replace Section, Add Vocals, and Add Instrumental do not show the selected-persona bar.
Mood, instruments, and vocal character — the same kind of wording you would put in Styles plus how the singer should feel. Name and Description are required; Styles are optional.
Cover remakes one existing song around its melody. A persona does not remake that song. It saves the identity so later songs — with new lyrics — can share it.
