How do you change the genre of a song with AI?

Upload your song (MP3, WAV and other common formats up to 50MB) or pick one from your RaoMusic library. Paste the lyrics you want sung (songs made on RaoMusic fill them in for you), then describe the new style in one sentence, such as "smooth late-night jazz with piano and saxophone". AI keeps the melody and returns two versions in the new genre in about a minute. It works on the free plan: one run on the default model costs 20 credits.

  • No subscription required

Works on the free plan, MP3 download included. 50 free credits every month.

  • Keeps your melody

  • ✓Making an alternate version for a video or release
  • ✓Trying a style you don't play yourself

Not for

  • !Keeping the original singer's voice (use AI voice covers)
  • !Covers of famous chart hits
  • !Songs you don't have the rights to

How an AI genre change works

Songwriters use it to hear a demo as a rock, jazz or acoustic version before committing to an arrangement, creators use it to make an alternate version for a video, and musicians use it to explore a style they don't play. Because you can upload your own file, the song does not have to come from RaoMusic.

The AI follows the melody and structure of your song and re-records it with new instruments, production and an AI vocal in the style you describe. It is not a voice changer: the singer's voice changes along with the genre. To keep the arrangement and only swap the voice, use the AI Cover Song Generator instead.

For the best result, paste the full original lyrics so the new version sings the same words; if you leave the lyrics empty, the AI writes a different song. Name the genre plus two or three instruments or a mood. Recordings that match a copyrighted song in the catalog, such as chart hits, are rejected and the credits are refunded, so use songs you made or have the rights to.
